Café Saint Honoré is a drawing of a Paris café in springtime, made to capture its true essence: a sense of whimsy and childlike wonder that gives us permission to feel happy, and to sit, breathe and relax every once in a while. Maria Deely drew it in colored pencil, inspired by her family's first trip abroad together, which came about through a work opportunity in France. She never imagined her art would be the reason her parents traveled abroad.
Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching 310. This natural white, 100% α-cellulose paper has a distinctly textured matte surface with an organic, mould-made pattern. Its pronounced tooth gives the layered pinks, greens and fine lettering of the scene a tactile depth, while still retaining extremely fine detail.
