When Life Gives You Lemons is Maria Deely's sun-warmed study of a lemon branch against a bright blue sky, its leaves catching the light in a hundred shades of green. Drawn entirely in colored pencil without a single stroke of black, it leans into the quiet joy of the everyday: bright, a little imperfect, and entirely alive.
Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching 310. This natural white, 100% α-cellulose paper has a distinctly textured matte surface with an organic, mould-made pattern. Its pronounced tooth gives the layered greens, the glowing yellow of the fruit and the soft clouds a tactile depth, while still retaining extremely fine detail.
